Basement is a 100% independent online magazine based in Malta and devoted to dance music and club culture. We were born under the idea of being innovative, creative and a strong point of reference to the Maltese music scene. Basement includes an up-to-date events lisitng, photo gallery, reviews, features, blogs and a very strong community.

Each month over 10,000 people visit the site to read the latest news, reviews and interviews, view our gallery, and contribute to the Malta's largest and most reliable source of club and event listings.

Since our launch in April 2004 we established ourselves as the leading and most respected dance/rock music site locally. In fact we are strongly supported by Malta's top DJs including DJ Ruby, Steve Caesar, Junior B, Miss Roberta, Stevy Vee, Woody Aki, N'Heaven, J Joy and Carl Bee together with other respective promotion agencies.

Basement was crucial in the promotion of remarkable events such as Exit! Tribu Music Festival 2004, Trigger 2004, Parks & Wilson, Follow the White Line, DJ Hell (Exit), Tribu:Ten (Exit), Riviera Beach, Bob Geldof, Malta Music Festival, all Squadron events and also the 2006 Red Bull Music Acadamy.

Our objective remains as is: Basement will reach mass audiences and will aim to remain the most outstanding, loudest and most sought-after local music website. More plans are in the pipeline to make this happen and exceptional.
