Written by Basement Journalist.

Let dust settle on your books and prepare to dust off your dance moves this summer with the Coca Cola Malta Music Festival. Following a string of successful events, with the Bob Sinclar Music Festival rated as the most successful event for 2006, Christmas concerts headlined by Ira Losco and Winter Moods, and a string of TNT nights all through 2008-09, the time is reap for an open air dance music festival to entertain the many international tourists and local clubbers this summer. With over The date is set for this year’s Coca Cola Malta Music Festival at the Montekristo Open Air Vaults – Saturday July 25th.

Eman Pulis, event co-organiser, had these words to say, "We are privileged to have secured the services of Montekristo Estates for this large-scale music event. The event is by no means a one-man show. Let us not undermine the huge amount of talent on show for this one-of-a-kind spectacle – local producers who are making headlines internationally. We have constructed a mix of arenas to give the event the truly festival tint to it.

The three zones will be set out supremely and no costs have been cut to ensure that this really will be the music festival of the year for all young at heart, possibly even one to emulate the most memorable in recent times.

Zone 1

An ethnic market will be set up to reflect the increasing demand for a greener lifestyle. An extensive ethnic market with different items on display. Re-live the nostalgia of the 60’s & 70’s with the Das Maltese Kruzers and their various VW campers whilst enjoy a virtual full-body massage through the natural healing art of Reflexology.

Zone 2

Headlined by up and coming local artists who are working behind closed doors with international producers, a live music piazza will be set up for the night. The arena will feature dancers, fire jugglers, the crème de la crème of Malta’s leading vocalists, including up and coming artist Brooke.

Zone 3

A Funky House elevated area will be spin the finest house tracks thanks to local DJs and producers. These artists will be accompanied all night long by a series of musicians, including drummers, electric violinists and guitarisrs, saxaphonists, harp, and much, much more.

We’re all eager to give a lil’ love and rock this party on July 25th at Montekristo Open Air Vaults. The organisers would like to thank its partners for this event, Dark Dog, Coca Cola, Chequers, Pasha, Basement, SmarTV, maltasport, 4You and Golddigga, Baystreet.
